Saudi Toyota Hill Climb Championship 2026 Returns to Taif with New Challenges at Al Mohammadiyah Hill

The Saudi Toyota Hill Climb Championship returns to Al Shafa in Taif, where Al Mohammadiyah Hill will once again host the 2026 season on one of the Kingdom’s most iconic and demanding mountain courses. The new season continues the championship’s journey, which first began in 2017.
The championship is held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), the governing body and developer of motorsport in the Kingdom, managed by Bakhashab Motorsport, in partnership with Jameel Motorsport as the Official Partner of the championship, and Brandship as the Strategic Partner for the 2026 season.
The 2026 Saudi Toyota Hill Climb Championship consists of three rounds. The opening round will take place from 2–4 July 2026, followed by the second round on 17–18 July, while the third and final round will be held from 31 July–1 August 2026. The three rounds are expected to attract top drivers and teams competing in a challenging contest that combines speed, precision, and the ability to master the technical demands of the mountain course.
Al Mohammadiyah Hill course extends over 4.2 kilometres, starting at an elevation of approximately 1,900 metres above sea level and finishing at around 2,150 metres. Its successive corners and significant elevation changes present an exceptional challenge that demands maximum concentration, precision, and vehicle control, making every run a true test of both driver skill and vehicle performance.
Hill Climb competition was first introduced in Saudi Arabia in 2017 in Bani Hassan, Al Baha Region, and continued in 2018 and 2019. A major milestone came in 2022, when the competition became part of the Saudi Toyota Championship calendar, with Jameel Motorsport joining as the championship’s Official Partner. In 2023, the championship moved to Al Mohammadiyah Hill in Al Shafa, Taif, marking a new chapter in its growth and development.
The championship has witnessed remarkable growth over the years, with participation increasing from approximately 18 drivers in its inaugural edition in 2017 to more than 190 drivers in the 2025 edition. This growth reflects the ongoing efforts of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al Abdullah Al Faisal, to develop motorsport, expand participation, and ensure the long-term sustainability of national championships.

About the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation
