From GTA to Reality: DARTZ Brings the Nightshark Legend to Life in a Multi-Million-Dollar Supercar

Miami set to host the global unveiling of a luxury armored vehicle inspired by the iconic Nightshark from Grand Theft Auto Online

In one of the most unusual crossovers between the virtual world and the real automotive industry, DARTZ Motorz, the manufacturer of luxury and armored vehicles, has announced that it is entering the final stages of building an extraordinary real-world vehicle inspired by the iconic HVY Nightshark from Grand Theft Auto Online.
Commissioned by an undisclosed client, the one-off vehicle is reportedly being built at a cost of several million dollars.
The story dates back to August 2017, when Rockstar Games introduced the Nightshark to the game. Although the vehicle was never officially licensed by DARTZ, gamers and automotive enthusiasts widely noted similarities between its design and several DARTZ models, including the Kombat, Black Shark and Black Snake.
Nearly nine years later, the relationship between the virtual and real worlds appears to have come full circle. Rather than reality inspiring the game, the virtual design is now being transformed into a real, hand-built machine of steel and metal.

“It’s not just a replica”
Leonard Yankelovich, founder and president of DARTZ, described the project, codenamed PROJECT FINAL BOSS, as far more than a simple replica of the vehicle featured in the game.
“Usually, games take reality and make it more extreme. But this time, reality came back with a purchase order,” Yankelovich said. “The client didn’t ask us to copy the pixels. He asked us to build what those pixels were trying to become.”
“Copying the pixels would be easy and cheap. We don’t look backwards. This car is what comes after reaching the final level,” he added.
Owner and specifications remain under wraps
DARTZ is maintaining a high level of secrecy surrounding the project. The company has declined to reveal the identity of the client or whether the vehicle was commissioned by an individual or an organization.
The final technical specifications and exterior design are also being kept confidential.
According to the company, the vehicle is being entirely handcrafted and has now reached the final polishing and finishing stages at DARTZ’s facilities in Riga, Latvia.

Global unveiling planned for Miami during GTA VI launch week
DARTZ is expected to unveil the vehicle publicly for the first time in Miami, Florida, during the highly anticipated week surrounding the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is scheduled for November 19, 2026.
Explaining the choice of location, Yankelovich said: “Miami is the right place; a city made of sunshine, money, speed and irrational decisions. It deserves a machine worthy of it.”
DARTZ has stressed that the project is completely independent and does not represent an official partnership or licensing agreement with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
Instead, the vehicle was commissioned as a private project inspired by the cultural intersection between the real-world automotive industry and the world of digital entertainment.
The project could ultimately turn a vehicle that existed solely within a video game into one of the world’s most unusual and expensive custom automobiles — a rare example of a virtual design making the journey from pixels to production.
