Opening Round of Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack Concludes as Mamoun Amr Alkabbani Sets New Recor

The opening round of the Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack concluded on Saturday at Jeddah Corniche Circuit following three days of competition from 27 to 29 August. The championship is held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), the owner of the competition, managed by Bakhashab Motorsport and in partnership with Jameel Motorsport, the championship’s official partner.
The opening round featured 88 male and female competitors across 11 categories, in addition to the Ladies Cup. At the conclusion of the event, Mamoun Amr Alkabbani recorded the fastest overall time to take first place in 1 minute, 12.279 seconds. Faisal Alkabbani finished second with a time of 1 minute, 12.300 seconds, while Muhammed Abudawood placed third in 1 minute, 16.166 seconds.
In Class 1, Mamoun Amr Alkabbani claimed first place with a time of 1 minute, 12.279 seconds, followed by Faisal Alkabbani in second and Muhammed Abudawood in third. In Class 2A, Bader Saleh Alyahya secured first place with a time of 1 minute, 28.016 seconds, with Faris Karem Althagafi and Alwaleed Zaki finishing second and third, respectively. In Class 2B, Sulaiman Alsaheel took the category win with a time of 1 minute, 19.341 seconds, ahead of Mohammed A. Alsheryan in second and Sultan Hamdi in third.
In Class 3A, Mahmoud Abed finished first with a time of 1 minute, 20.738 seconds, followed by Andulaziz Hani Saab in second and Ahmed Binkhanen in third. In Class 3B, Nawaf Talal Alloush topped the category with a time of 1 minute, 24.788 seconds, ahead of Wesam Khalil Khalil in second and Sultan Kayello in third.
In Class 4A, Hisham Bediea Al Bediea claimed first place with a time of 1 minute, 26.799 seconds, followed by Abdulrhman Al Odil in second and Muhannad Salamah in third. In Class 4B, Samir M Ahmad took first place with a time of 1 minute, 26.807 seconds, ahead of Abdulaziz Alfudhili in second and Ammar Ali Alrubaiie in third.
In Class 5A, Mazen Jamil Hijazi claimed first place with a time of 1 minute, 36.271 seconds, followed by Faisal Noaman in second and Mostafa Elberjawi in third. In Class 5B, Hatem Al Hazmi secured the category win with a time of 1 minute, 28.869 seconds, with Omar Aldini and Mohammed Habbal finishing second and third, respectively.
In Class SC, Saeed Zaki Almouri claimed first place with a time of 1 minute, 17.059 seconds, ahead of Abdullah Ahmed Alamri in second. In Class SS, Abdulaziz Alramih took first place with a time of 1 minute, 18.055 seconds.
In the Ladies Cup, Reem Thamer Al Aboud claimed first place with a time of 1 minute, 29.579 seconds, followed by Jasmine Al-Sayed in second and Enas Hamzah Abtini in third.

The Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack season consists of three rounds, all taking place at Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Round 2 is scheduled for 3-4 September, while the season will conclude with the third and final round on 15-16 October 2026.
The championship provides drivers with an organised competitive environment in which to test and develop their skills on track, while also helping broaden participation in motorsport, strengthen the sport’s presence in the Kingdom and create further opportunities for local talent to gain competitive experience.
