Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack Completes Practice Ahead of Official Racing at Jeddah Corniche Circuit

The opening day of competition in Round 1 of the 2026 Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack concluded on Friday evening at Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The championship is held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), the owner of the competition, managed by Bakhashab Motorsport and in partnership with Jameel Motorsport, the championship’s official partner.
The round’s programme began on Thursday with administrative checks and technical scrutineering for the participating cars to ensure compliance with approved technical requirements and safety standards, along with a drivers’ photo session. A total of 107 male and female competitors registered for the opening round, while 74 of them passed technical scrutineering ahead of competition across 11 categories, in addition to the Ladies Cup.
Friday’s activities included the mandatory drivers’ briefing at 5 p.m., attended by race officials and stewards, during which competition instructions and regulations were reviewed. Free practice began at 6 p.m., with one session for each category, giving drivers an opportunity to familiarise themselves further with the course, assess their cars and refine braking points and racing lines.
Competition continues on Saturday, with the first competitive run beginning at 4 p.m., followed by the second run at 7:45 p.m. Each competitor will aim to record the fastest possible time, with the classification in each category determined by the fastest time recorded across the two competitive runs. The round will conclude at 12 a.m. with the podium ceremony and presentation of awards to the winners across the various categories.
The Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack is an individual competition held on a designated course within the circuit, where each competitor aims to record the fastest possible time while following the prescribed route and adhering to all safety regulations. The final classification is determined by recorded times rather than starting positions or on-track overtaking.
